mesic to xeric grassland species, but also frequent as a ruderal

Holarctic species; in Nearctis and eastern Palearctis there are different subspecies

Festuco-Brometea, Trifolio-Geranietea, Artemisietea vulgaris

R34, R87 habitats but also as an invasive species, in many others

very common in Romania, as a grassland and also as a weedy species

 

 

 

The most common species of the genus in all Holarctis; at its origins a grassland species but which has outstanding capabilities to act as a ruderal invader.
